Barnsley host Lincoln City in early November for a deciding clash in Northern Group D of the EFL Trophy.

Following a resounding 5-2 victory over Manchester United Under-21s at Oakwell in October, a point for the Reds in this tie would see them progress to the next round of the competition alongside their group-topping visitors.

The Imps, who are fifth in League One, have a perfect record in this season’s EFL Trophy group stage, with two wins from two without conceding.

Conor Hourihane’s side, who lifted Football League Trophy silverware in 2015/16, have performed better than last season’s pointless exit from the competition and have high hopes of going further on the road to Wembley this time around.
