Birmingham City will host Nottingham Forest in the annual Trevor Francis Memorial Match in summer 2025.

To continue the legacy of Blues’ greatest-ever player, a pre-season friendly between two of his former employers has become a tradition.

Francis earned iconic status at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park during 330 appearances over nine years, and also earned notoriety with the Reds when Brian Clough made him British football’s first million-pound player in 1979. He repaid the faith shown in him at the City Ground by scoring the winning goal as Forest collected a first European Cup with victory over Malmo.

The meeting against the Premier League side is another step in preserving Francis’ legacy and the limited edition publication to mark the fixture will be a must-have for all serious collections.

Supporters can pre-order a copy of the club’s official match-day publication ‘Blues News’ for this pre-season encounter and have it delivered direct to their door.

This B5 size 68pp perfect-bound issue will be sent on Friday 1st August and should be expected no longer than five working days after the game. Any orders subsequently placed after the fixture has taken place will aim to be despatched within three working days.
