Birmingham City meet Port Vale for the first time in 25 years this August in an EFL Cup second-round tie.

The Blues ran out 2-1 victors at St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park over Sheffield United in the opening round to earn a first-ever meeting with the Valiants in the competition.

The League One visitors, who were quarter-finalists in 2023/24, saw off Blackpool in the previous round this term to earn a rare trip to B9.
