Port Vale will face Arsenal for the first time in 27 years in a blockbuster EFL Cup third-round encounter this September.

The Valiants ended Birmingham City’s unbeaten start to the 2025/26 campaign with a 1-0 victory at St. Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park to reach this stage of the competition for only the third time since 2009/10.

Darren Moore’s League One outfit, who eliminated Blackpool in the First Round, will now welcome the star-studded Gunners to Vale Park, a ground where the Premier League behemoths have not won since 1903.

Mikel Arteta’s two-time EFL Cup winners, who were semi-finalists in the tournament last season, will bring a squad packed full of luminaries to Burslem in September for this eagerly-anticipated 'David vs Goliath' cup tie.

Supporters can pre-order the official matchday programme for this maiden EFL Cup meeting between the two sides and have it sent directly to their door. 

The A5-size 68-page commemorative edition will be sent on Tuesday 23rd September, and should be expected no longer than five working days after the fixture. This is not a pre-event delivery service.
