Manchester City embark on a 15th successive season in Europe’s elite club competition in 2025/26 and will face familiar foes Borussia Dortmund in November for a seventh meeting between the two clubs.

City’s Matchday 4 opponents of the UEFA Champions League - League Phase lifted the famous silverware in 1997 and have twice reached the final of the competition since, in 2012 and 2024.

The Blues welcome Niko Kovac’s side, who finished fourth in the Bundesliga last season and reached the quarter-finals in Europe, to Etihad Stadium on Wednesday 5th November.

Die Schwarzgelben have lost 2-1 on their last two visits to Manchester, with late goals from Phil Foden in April 2021 and Erling Haaland in September 2022 proving the difference.
