It’s an all-Championship affair as Middlesbrough meet Stoke City in a first EFL Cup tie between the two sides since 1974.

The Staffordshire visitors have had the edge over Michael Carrick’s men in recent clashes, with Boro last winning in April 2022, but will hope home advantage at Riverside Stadium can earn last season’s semi-finalists safe passage through to the Third Round.
