Preston North End face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup for the first time since 1999 this October.

The Lancashire side were on the right side of the longest shootout in the competition’s history in Round Two - winning 16-15 on penalties - to stun Premier League Fulham and book this Last 16 tie against the Gunners.

North End will be hoping to claim another top-flight scalp when Mikel Arteta’s two-time EFL League Cup winners visit Deepdale. The Gunners were last in PR1 in January 2017 for an FA Cup tie and haven’t lost to Preston since an old Division One encounter in 1960.
