Championship side Sheffield United host League One newcomers Wrexham in the Carabao Cup for the first time in 20 years this August.

The Blades overcame the Welsh outfit in the FA Cup in 2023 but this will be the first encounter in the EFL Cup between the two since Andy Gray and Phil Jagielka goals saw United win 3-2 in Wales in 2004.

The Dragons have never won at Bramall Lane in four previous attempts but Phil Parkinson’s promotion winners will be aiming to reach the competition’s Second Round in successive seasons.
