Fixture Date: 12/04/26

Competition: Vertu Trophy Final 2025/26

It’s an all-Hatters affair in this season’s Vertu Trophy Final as Luton Town face Stockport County at the national stadium.

The Bedfordshire Hatters booked a first return to Wembley since winning the Championship play-offs three years ago after seeing off Northampton Town 2-1 in their semi-final, thanks to a late winner from Liam Walsh.

Town boss Jack Wilshere, who lifted two FA Cups during his playing career with Arsenal, will have the honour of leading his side out in the capital in early April in a maiden campaign as head coach.

Competition winners in 2008/09, Luton have not been in the tournament since 2019 and will be determined to take the coveted EFL silverware back to Kenilworth Road as the competition’s top guns.

Yet they face stern opposition in ‘possession kings’ Stockport, with whom they share the same moniker. The Lancashire Hatters, currently fifth in League One, eliminated Doncaster Rovers in their last-four encounter courtesy of Oliver Norwood’s winner to set up a historic date for the Edgeley Park faithful under the Arch.

Dave Challinor’s side, beaten Trophy finalists in 1991/92 and 1992/93, return to Wembley for a seventh time in their history but just a first appearance in this competition’s showpiece for 33 years.

The meeting on Sunday 12th April will be a highly-anticipated affair for both sets of supporters, and you can pre-order a copy of this 100-page A4 size spine-bound commemorative publication for £10, plus post and packaging to a UK address.

Overseas deliveries will incur an additional P+P charge, which will be calculated based on the delivery address provided.

This treasured memento will be posted via Royal Mail on Friday 10th April, but is not expected for a pre-match delivery and should arrive no more than five working days after despatch.
