Rangers v Aberdeen (Premier Sports Cup Semi-Final 2026)

Fixture Date: 31/10/26

Competition: Premier Sports Cup Semi-Final 2026/27

Record competition winners Rangers face Aberdeen in a blockbuster Premier Sports Cup semi-final this Autumn.

In a re-run of the 2023/24 Final, when Rangers lifted their 28th title after a 1-0 success, the two sides go head-to-head once again in an attempt to reach the showpiece finale.

The Ibrox giants, currently second in the Scottish Premiership, saw off holders St Mirren 5-1 and Old Firm rivals Celtic 3-0 to get to the last four of the competition once again.

Manager Derek McInnes saw his side take three points off Aberdeen back in August, and will want another strong performance as he eyes a first piece of silverware with the Gers.

Standing in the way at Hampden on Saturday 31st October are Stephen Robinson’s Dons who eliminated Dundee convincingly and overcame Kilmarnock with 10-men to reach this stage of the competition.

The Pittodrie-based side lifted the prestigious silverware for a sixth time back in 2013/14, but have lost their most recent finals - in 2023/24 and 2018/19 - to Old Firm opponents.

This Premier Sports Cup semi-final clash is sure to be a compelling affair, and supporters can order the SPFL’s official matchday programme from the event.
