Wales vs France (2026)
Fixtures Date: 15/02/26
Competition: Six Nations 2026
Wales welcome reigning champions France for the first game at Principality Stadium of the 2026 Six Nations.
Les Bleus romped to a 43-0 victory in Paris during the 2025 opener against the Dragons, their largest-ever winning margin over the Welsh, yet optimism has been renewed that Steve Tandy’s new-look side can turn the tide this time around on home soil.
Wales were winless in 2025 yet have world-class performers in their ranks, including the returning Louis Rees-Zammit, the tournament’s top tackler in Jac Morgan and talismanic captain Dewi Lake as they hope to show class in permanent in the Cardiff cauldron.
This will be the 105th Test match between the two nations since first meeting in 1908, with both sides having won 51 contests, and it has all the ingredients to be a real spectacle as assist machine Antoine Dupont, 2025 Player of the Championship Louis Bielle-Biarrey and Thomas Ramos have the visitors up to fifth in the world.
It is sure to be a compelling encounter once again and the WRU have commissioned a commemorative bi-lingual matchday programme for the blockbuster event.
